Studios Turned Post-Production 3D Into Another Way to Gouge Us On Ticket Prices:
The ability to retroactively add 3D effects became a DANGEROUS tool in the hands of Hollywood once they realized they could charge more for tickets to 3D movies.
--Not only that, but 3D SUCKS. It was fun when it was, like, one movie a year. But now it's annoying. Am I right?
--And we're not the only ones who feel that way. Even people who like 3D movies DON'T like the "fake 3D" that happens when studios convert a 2D movie in post-production.
--There's even a website called realorfake3d.com that lists which recent films faked their 3D effects. Some of them may surprise you. Here are a few:
. . . "The Avengers" - Fake 3D
. . . "Amazing Spider-Man" - Real 3D
. . . "Captain America" - Fake 3D
. . . "The Hobbit" - Real 3D
