Welcome to #411...no need to enter a prompt for further instructions. You've come to the right place to get a daily round-up of some of the interesting stuff going on in the world. So here's the #411 for today...
). After a big heartbreak some people go shopping, some people cut their hair, some people stay in bed for a week without showering…Robert Pattinson goes to Puerto Rico with Leonardo DiCaprio. Reportedly Leo told Rob, “In no time you’ll be dating a model like me.”
). Speaking of Puerto Rico, on November 6th there will be a statehood vote to determine if it will become the 51st state in the United States. As of right now, people who are born in Puerto Rico are U.S. citizens but they get no Congressional representation in government.
). Waste not, want not! Americans waste a lot of food. In fact, the average family throws out 40% of stuff which adds up to about $165 billion dollars per year! Cuh-ray-zy!
). If your dog chases his/her tail, he/she could be mentally ill…as in, could be suffering from OCD. New research shows that poor diet and genetics could be partly to blame. The most common dogs associated with tail chasing are bull terriers.
). Who is the most powerful woman in the world? According to Forbes, her name is Angela Merkel. She’s the Chancellor of Germany. Second on the list was Hillary Clinton, followed by the President of Brasil, Dilma Rousseff. Also in the top five were Melinda Gates (Bill’s wife) and Jill Abramson, executive editor of the New York Times .
